Pandora Internet Radio Review
Wednesday October 21, 2009 by Nick Niesen.
I’ve been an avid music lover for most of my life, I’m going to stress the word most. A few years back I gave up on it. I was tired of the same old music and unable to find anything new that I liked, what-so-ever. This was….2004? I can’t say for certain. But it has been awhile since I took a liking to anything other then something that might have come out of my studio.
Have you ever burned out on music? I cannot be the only one. I listened and listened and listened to artists almost non-stop. Self-employed and working out of your basement, you can do just about whatever you want. I opted to work the (20-22 hour) days away days building websites of all kinds, making ends meet, employing some of my best friends and loving every minute of it. We had a huge collection of music and obviously the bands we loved most, but after 4, 5, 6, 7 years of this; something’s gotta give, and it did.
I was burned out. It was time for a change. My favorite bands of then were replaced with nothingness. Until
Pandora.
Pandora has re-kindled my enjoyment for music. I’ve got it hooked up in my car using my blackberry and an 1/8th inch jack. I’ve got it at work on the web and at home on my laptop. I always have new bands to listen to, Pandora is intelligent.
Create your own radio station based on a music genre, a band, or a bunch of bands. Pandora will do the rest playing you music from your favorite bands and similar bands that other listeners like. For now, I’ve thrown out my CD’s and MP3’s and am sticking to Pandora, you can too, it’s free.
What am I listening to right now? Maybe something, maybe nothing,
