For the third time this game has caught my attention and seems like a good idea to start playing again. On two other occassions I poured tons of hours into leveling, earning gil and ultimately making money. I honestly made a living on Final Fantasy XI for several months as I simply tagged a web address in my info screen that forwarded people to a place where they could swap USD for Gil. This allowed in-game players to be "rich" and swap a few bucks to be a millionaire in the game. The system which paid me on a percentage allowed me to avoid the regular 9-5 job and just spend all of my time playing FFXI.
This time around my plan is to play for fun, see how far I can level and maybe, if people are still playing hit higher levels, though the primary fear here that finding high level parties will be even tougher then before. My last to plays put me in the near 50's until, you could spend all day looking for a party and find naut.
In any case, my new copy of FFXI (Complete) will be arriving in a few days, when I get setup with a new character on a new server, I'll post my info so yall can find me.
Let's not forget Final Fantasy XIII is releasing on March 9. My new career in FFXI will be very recreational, something to pickup when I have nothing better to do.
